About this project
About this project
Tilt the board to sneak, tap where a sound bomb should land, hold the field to reveal patrol routes. Everything happens on one Waveshare ESP32-S3-Touch-AMOLED-1.8 — accelerometer as joystick, touchscreen for aiming, the ES8311 codec synthesising music, effects and a heartbeat that quickens as guards close in. The 1.8-inch 368×448 QSPI AMOLED is driven by a banded software renderer that overlaps drawing with DMA from internal SRAM; measured frame rate went from 34.5 to 50 FPS on a five-guard stage. A hundred generated stages are ranked by patrol coverage, exposure and route difficulty. Firmware is C on ESP-IDF 5.5.5, flashed with idf.py or the provided flash.sh. Six test suites plus the renderer and synthesiser compile on a PC, so the game core can be worked on without a board.
