PROJECT / ESP32 APPLICATION
ESP32 CYD Survival Wiki
Offline survival knowledge base, mobile Wi-Fi captive portal, 1-click web flasher, and 3D snap-fit case for Hosyond 3.5 ESP32-32E Touch Display (E32R35T / CYD)
About this project
An offline survival reference for one specific board: the Hosyond 3.5" 320x480 ESP32-32E display module, also sold as QDtech / LCDWiki E32R35T or E32N35T. On the 3.5" ST7796U touchscreen it offers eight emergency categories and 61 illustrated articles, plus the 233-page US Army Survival Manual FM 21-76 split into 62 paged chapters. The same board runs its own open Wi-Fi network named SurvivalWiki; up to eight phones can join and search the whole wiki in a browser, or download the PDF. Everything sits on a FAT32 microSD card and any USB-C power bank is enough, so no internet is ever needed. Firmware is PlatformIO but there is also a browser flasher that writes the whole image in about 40 seconds. A snap-fit 3D case is included, sized to the 101.50 × 55.50 mm PCB.
