CYD RGB LED Matrix HUB75 Retro Clock
Retro-style RGB LED Matrix (HUB75) clock for ESP32-2432S028 (CYD). Emulates 64×32 RGB LED Panel with HUB75 protocol on 320×240 TFT. NTP sync, web config, OTA updates.
About this project
No real LED panel is needed: this firmware paints a 64×32 HUB75 matrix, dot by dot, onto the 320×240 TFT of a Cheap Yellow Display (ESP32-2432S028R). Seven-segment digits morph as they change, and dot diameter, gap, colour and brightness are adjustable from a browser page that also mirrors the framebuffer. Time comes from NTP, with 88 timezones in a dropdown and nine preset servers. A browser installer uses Web Serial and needs desktop Chrome, Edge or Opera; a board already running the firmware is offered an update that keeps settings and WiFi. Building locally means VS Code plus PlatformIO. Over-the-air updates go through ArduinoOTA on port 3232, and the default password should be changed before deployment.
