PROJECT / ESP32 APPLICATION
Clawd Mochi Plus
Enhanced ESP32-C3 firmware for the Clawd Mochi desk companion — 15 parametric expressions, adaptive eye geometry, idle life machine and a built-in web controller.
About this project
A little desk face for an AI coding session: fifteen expressions drawn with nothing but Adafruit_GFX primitives — no bitmaps, no frame buffer — on a 1.54-inch 240×240 ST7789 driven by an ESP32-C3 Super Mini. Eyes are parameterised by width, height, gap and offset, so the `/eye` HTTP call reshapes all fifteen at once and persists to NVS. An idle machine blinks, glances sideways, squints and naps. First boot raises the `ClaWD-Mochi` hotspot for credentials, then joins the LAN as `clawd-mochi.local`. Power the panel from 3.3 V only, avoid GPIO 6/7 for SPI, and drop TX power to 8.5 dBm: cheap C3 boards fail to associate at full power.
