PROJECT / ESP32 APPLICATION
ARCADE C3
Handheld multi-game console firmware for ESP32-C3 and a 128x64 SSD1306 OLED: 13 games, analog joystick, buzzer and RGB LED effects, saved scores.
About this project
Thirteen games plus a settings screen and a hardware test live on a perfboard handheld built around an ESP32-C3 Super Mini and a 128×64 SSD1306 OLED on I²C. The launcher scrolls animated cards carrying each game's icon, a one-line blurb and the saved best score; an analog joystick, two push buttons and a touch pad drive the menus, and a buzzer plays sixteen effects while a WS2812 sets the accent colour. Everything compiles as one translation unit: a single .ino sketch, config.h for pins, hal.h for display, input, audio and NVS storage, and one header per game. U8g2 is the only external library, and the board target is ESP32C3 Dev Module. Pins, joystick tuning and A/B swap are compile-time settings, so changing them means re-flashing. Battery and charger sit outside the firmware; there is no level reading, and no PCB or enclosure files ship with it.
