Cursor Agent Beacon
See what your Cursor agent is doing without watching the chat — GNOME panel, status CLI, optional desk display
About this project
Cursor Agent Beacon rides on Cursor's native hooks so the agent's state is visible without staring at the chat: lifecycle events become idle, waiting, thinking, running a shell, running MCP, success and error, shown first in the Ubuntu GNOME top bar and optionally mirrored to a small desk panel. That panel takes the same state through a local HTTP-to-serial bridge, and its 480×480 face is a pixel robot by default, replaceable with your own GIFs dropped into a themes folder. The hooks fail open and never block Cursor. The desktop path needs only Python 3.10+ and Cursor, and the display is optional.
