PROJECT / ESP32 APPLICATION
Glyph
Your LED matrix, alive — 1,100+ animations, pixel art, clocks, games and album art for WLED matrices, from your phone. Free, local, no account.
About this project
The phone does the drawing; the matrix just shows it. Glyph is an Android app for WLED-driven LED panels: set a display up in a few taps, flip through 1,236 animations, draw frames with onion skin and mirror, then either stream live over DDP on UDP port 4048 at 40 fps or bake a looping GIF, upload it and save a WLED preset so the panel keeps playing with the phone off. Setup writes the panel layout (size, start corner, zig-zag, upside-down panels) into WLED's own config. Clocks keep time on the device. Seven games use the phone as controller, and nine microphone visualisers run locally — audio never leaves the phone. WLED 16 or newer on ESP32, S2, S3 or C3 supports both streaming and Send; ESP8266 can only stream.
