PROJECT / ESP32 APPLICATION
Digifiz Replica
Digifiz Replica project code
About this project
A replacement instrument cluster for second-generation Volkswagen Golf, Jetta and Scirocco, and for Audi 80 B2 dashes, imitating the look of the original Digifiz without being a Volkswagen product. Firmware exists on two tracks: an Atmega2560 version built in the Arduino IDE with RTClib, the SparkFun EEPROM library, Adafruit_BusIO and MedianFilterLib2, flashed through USBasp, and an ESP32 version built with ESP-IDF v5.2.1. Both red and green Audi variants are supported. The code is MIT licensed; the hardware is closed and sold as finished units, so this is not a from-scratch build. Coverage runs from Golf and Jetta Mk2 1983-1992, with Scirocco 2 needing a contact adapter and Passat B2 untested.
