JEWISH HOLIDAY DISPLAY / ESP32 APPLICATION
Geekmagic Jewcal
📺 A custom GeekMagic SmallTV Pro firmware to watch for upcoming Jewish holidays (Shabbats, Yom Tovs, fasts, etc.),

About this project
About this project
Shabbat and Yom Tov with candle lighting and havdalah, chol hamoed, fasts, Rosh Chodesh and the weekly parsha, rendered as pixel art on a 120x120 canvas and rotated onto whichever SmallTV is on the shelf. Times come from Hebcal and weather from Open-Meteo; the city is one setting. SmallTV Ultra runs an ESP8266 board and SmallTV Pro an ESP32, and the two packages are not interchangeable - uploading one model's files to the other leaves a device that will not start, and ESP32-C2 or ESP32-S3 variants of the TV are unsupported. Calendar model, UI and app are no_std Rust shared by both, with the Ultra's loop in Arduino C++ and the Pro's firmware on ESP-IDF; a host simulator renders every screen and CI builds both. Settings live at jewcal.local.
