PROJECT / ESP32 APPLICATION

Kubik

A Wi-Fi voice companion for AI agents, built on ESP32-C6.

About this project

Kubik puts a voice interface to an AI agent on a desk: a Waveshare ESP32-C6-Touch-AMOLED-2.16 shows Tess, an animated tesseract that turns to swipes in 3D and 4D and voices short syllabic reactions synthesized on the device. The heavy lifting stays on a host — OpenClaw through a channel plugin, Hermes Agent 0.22.2 through its gateway, or anything written against an adapter SDK — and provider credentials never leave that machine. Three buttons run left to right as BOOT, PWR and KEY: KEY starts and finishes voice input, a BOOT hold opens Settings. Voice modes are STT, Realtime and GPT Live, though Hermes only supports STT. Firmware builds with ESP-IDF 5.5.1, an installer verifies image hashes before writing, and up to eight Wi-Fi networks are remembered. The bundled wake-word model ships under an unspecified license.
