PROJECT / ESP32 APPLICATION
Calico
Desktop companion and dev kit for the grokbot-buddy ESP32 desk panel
About this project
A 2.16-inch AMOLED panel for the desk that shows what coding agents are doing, one card per agent, while an Electron app on the computer does the housekeeping. The panel polls /api/status on port 8787; the app receives webhooks, provisions Wi-Fi over USB or Bluetooth after testing the network, keeps passwords in GNOME Keyring or KWallet, and can repair Bluetooth when the computer's address changes. When agents run in the cloud and cannot reach a moving local IP, it deploys a relay Worker to your own Cloudflare account that holds 24 hours and 200 messages. The firmware is an ESP-IDF project for the Waveshare ESP32-S3-Touch-AMOLED-2.16. This is alpha, with v0.1 targeting Linux, and the app never flashes the panel itself.
