About this project

About this project

Custom firmware for the FoloToy AI Passport badge (ESP32-C3, 8 MB) that keeps the xiaozhi voice assistant and adds a set of small games: a one-button diving game, a jump game, a rhythm echo game, dice, a wooden fish and Bluetooth shortcuts for a PC. NABO, the companion drawn at 224×224, blinks while idle and changes animation between listening, thinking and speaking; saying "open the dive" or "dice" out loud launches an app directly. Local programs pause the assistant until a long press on the upper right key restores it. The C3 build starts conversation with the OK key and has no local wake word. Built with ESP-IDF 6.0.2 from a pinned xiaozhi-esp32 commit. The image uses a single-app custom partition layout, so official OTA images do not fit; the release ships four separate partition images and a flashing tool that checks device identity and verifies writes.
