T5 E-paper Dashboard

Wi-Fi e-paper dashboard for the LilyGo T5 4.7" (ESP32-S3): photo frame, weather/news Digest, and a Home Assistant tile dashboard — portrait, browser-side dithering…

About this project

A LilyGo T5 4.7-inch frame that does more than hold photos. Its web UI, served from the device, drops an image into a slideshow, or switches to a portrait digest of Open-Meteo weather, sunrise/sunset, a three-day forecast and two rotating RSS headlines, or to a 2×2 grid of Home Assistant tiles for temperature, CO₂, storage and the like. The panel is a 960×540 ED047TC1 with 16 grey levels, and photos are dithered in the browser to a 259200-byte 4-bit framebuffer, so the ESP32 never decodes a JPEG. Flashing uses PlatformIO; later updates go over Wi-Fi, and dual-OTA slots fall back if an image is bad.
