About this project

About this project

A small desk box shaped like a Commodore PET: a Waveshare ESP32-C6-Zero, a 128×64 I²C OLED and three MX-style keys. It opens with a BASIC banner, pretends to load the weather from tape, and idles into a `10 PRINT` maze. Seven screens cover a PETSCII block clock, a plain clock, weather, a READY. prompt, live data listed as a BASIC program, Home Assistant and system status. The outer keys take separate press and hold actions — an HTTP request, a screen jump, an HA light or scene. Everything is configured from the device's own web page, which has no password, so it belongs on a network you trust. Weather comes from Open-Meteo without a key.
