GERMAN A2 FLASHCARDS / ESP32 APPLICATION
Knödel Watch
Animated German A2 vocabulary cards on a round watch, where a dumpling and a ginger cat act out every word.
About this project
Fifteen decks and 180 A2 cards, and every card is a small animated scene: Knödel the dumpling acts out feelings, states and set phrases, while Brezel the ginger cat does the verbs and brings the props, from a vacuum cleaner to a bicycle. Each card carries up to three faces: the acted word, a grammar line with an example sentence, and a tip. Practice mode repeats cards on a one, two, four and up to 64 day schedule, and a word answered wrong comes back before the session ends. The clock shows a word of the day and a 25 minute focus timer runs alongside. Learning content ships as its own pack, so a watch can change packs in a minute without reflashing the firmware, and a board layer keeps the code portable to other round ESP32-S3 watches.
