WIFI SERIAL BRIDGE FOR GRBL LASER ENGRAVERS / ESP32 APPLICATION
GRBL Wireless Bridge
WIFI串口网桥。星光4改无线,无线激光雕刻机可用,低成本$3。Make GRBL run on wifi with an ESP32, with auto discovery and compatible with all existing applications.

About this project
About this project
A laser engraver or other serial-controlled machine gets a Wi-Fi replacement for its cable: MicroPython on an ESP32 opens a TCP socket and shuttles bytes to a UART, and a desktop Python script either points an application straight at that socket, as LaserGRBL accepts, or maps it onto a virtual COM pair through com0com. Settings are two text files uploaded to the board, one for SSID and password, one for UART id, baud rate, TX/RX pins, TCP port and NeoPixel pin. A UDP broadcast lets the desktop script find the device without knowing its address. The server takes one client at a time, and the note about the onboard UART-USB chip is blunt: it will not work, the direct serial link will.
