COLOUR E-PAPER ART FRAME / ESP32 APPLICATION
E-Paper Art Frame
Interactive ESP32-C5 seven-color E-Paper art frame with a local web gallery and reliable web-triggered refresh.

About this project
About this project
Artwork goes up from a Python web console on the local network and lands on a four-inch seven-colour e-paper panel driven by an ESP32-C5. The gallery converts each upload into a fixed 120000-byte payload and stores a revision token; the device polls that token, restarts on a change and redraws from its boot path, a deliberate choice because repeated in-place full refreshes proved unreliable on this panel. Progress states come back to the page as the device downloads and refreshes. The firmware is built with the Arduino core for esp32c5 rather than ESP-IDF, and the panel uses hardware SPI with a power-control line. A server has to stay running on the same LAN.
