About this project

About this project

Eyes on a 2-inch ST7789 blink, squint and look around while a speaker behind a PAM8403 amp does the talking; the face moves on an SG90 servo that follows whoever the webcam sees. Almost all the thinking happens on a Windows PC: a Python script takes the C270 microphone, spots the wake word, transcribes with Google STT, asks Gemini, and sends ElevenLabs or free edge-tts audio down USB serial as 16 kHz 8-bit PCM, with an emotion code the ESP32 draws. The board itself is an ESP32 DevKit running a single .ino built in the Arduino IDE with Adafruit ST7789/GFX and ESP32Servo. A 30-second window means you say the name once and keep talking. Changing the personality is editing a text file that is re-read on every reply. The 3D-printed shell needs about 150 g of filament.
