PINBALL CARD DISPLAY / ESP32 APPLICATION
CYD Pinball Cards
ESP32 CYD (Cheap Yellow Display) pinball game cards for PinUP Popper - firmware, host push script, sample cards

About this project
About this project
A cheap touch panel that sits beside a pinball or arcade cabinet and follows what the frontend is doing: box art, control-panel layout, how-to-play and pricing while a game is picked or running, an attract playlist when idle, and a clock with weather and tech headlines at night. It can also become a touch keypad for the keys a cabinet lacks. The same firmware covers the 2.8" ESP32-2432S028R, a 3.5-inch CYD and the 7" Waveshare ESP32-S3-Touch-LCD-7. A Python daemon on the cabinet PC pushes content over USB serial at 115200 baud or TCP 47311, handling one to five displays, each with its own role. Prebuilt images carry no Wi-Fi credentials, so wireless needs wifi.json and a PlatformIO build. The protocol is newline-delimited JSON, and a board simulator lets you test without hardware.
