About this project
About this project
A fridge-door poster for the ZECTRIX NOTE4C devkit: weather, one headline, a personal note, sky and air quality, laid out with only black, white, red and yellow pigments on a 400 × 300 panel. There is no grey, so the renderer dithers the four colours in patterns; coloured patterns never go finer than 2 pixels, and yellow needs two pixels to exist at all. Weather comes from MET Norway, air quality and pollen from Open-Meteo's Air Quality API, headlines from BBC World by default or any HTTPS RSS/Atom feed. Everything is set up from a phone browser over a temporary setup Wi-Fi with a pairing code, no app and no account. The default Breath power mode switches Wi-Fi on about twice an hour, so the panel only answers for five minutes after the OK button. Version 0.6.2 is final, tested on one unit, and updates go over USB only.
