About this project

About this project

A driver layer for FLIR Lepton thermal cameras on the Arduino HAL, tested with a Lepton 3.5 and an ESP32-S3 on a custom board. The API is small: construct with I2C and SPI buses plus chip-select and reset pins, poll `isReady()`, then call `readVoSpi()` into a 160×120×2 buffer. Two examples ship with PlatformIO, a webserver that streams MJPEG or single frames in greyscale or colourised RGB888 using JPEGENC, and a serial console that prints each pixel as one digit. VoSPI is timing-sensitive, so the driver wants high priority under an RTOS; in some cases the camera never yields valid data and power-cycling does not help. Only Lepton 3.5 has been tested.
