About this project

About this project

What started as an ESP32 watering controller called Grovika grew into a hosted greenhouse platform: a Java Spring Boot backend, a React front end, Zigbee2MQTT coordinator connectors, and Grovika firmware in C++ under PlatformIO. Sensors, pumps, zones and climate live behind one web interface where lights and watering can be scheduled; the firmware is only one component rather than the whole thing. No hardware is needed to try it - the public demo opens four greenhouses with virtual devices and history in a per-visitor sandbox that lasts 24 hours, and the guest commands never touch real equipment. The public history starts on October 6, 2025 and passes 770 commits. Building the firmware means `pio test` then `pio run`.
