AIR QUALITY MONITOR / ESP32 APPLICATION
Sps30 Scd41 Air Monitor
CO2, temperature, humidity and particulate monitor on a TTGO T5 e-paper board, with optional ThingSpeak publishing

About this project
About this project
Seven numbers on a 2.13-inch e-paper panel tell you when to open a window: CO2, temperature and humidity from a Sensirion SCD41 over I²C, then PM1, PM2.5, PM10 and average particle size from an SPS30 on UART1 at 115200 baud. Both sensors are sampled once a second and averaged; every thirty seconds the panel redraws, which is why the figure is a mean rather than the latest sample. The LILYGO TTGO T5 V2.3 carries the display, button and charger, so only eight wires are needed. The firmware is MicroPython, copied onto the board as a src folder. Because the SPS30 needs 5 V and the board supplies that only over USB, the particulate rows read SPS OFF (Battery) when unplugged. A ThingSpeak upload is optional and off until a config.py enables it.
From the README
From the README
- Sensor
- an SCD41 measuring carbon dioxide, temperature and humidity, and an SPS30 counting particulates
- Build
- Put MicroPython on the board.
- Limit
- The SPS30 runs on 5 V, and the board only has 5 V while USB is plugged in.
- Power
- Li-ion cell, LP603030 (about 500 mAh) with a JST connector
- Enclosure
- Both shells, the button bar, the rubber foot and the STEP source are on Thingiverse
