PHONE DESK DISPLAY / ESP32 APPLICATION
Lumendock
Turn a spare Android phone into a USB desk display for Claude/Codex limits, laptop alerts, media and system keys, and an ESP32 lamp.

About this project
About this project
A spare Android phone becomes a second monitor for a Linux laptop, and an ESP32 lamp controller on the same desk is the only board involved. Over an adb reverse USB link the phone shows Claude and Codex quota, the newest alerts, what is playing and a grid of laptop keys; clicking one runs a fixed action on the laptop, never a shell command. Over its own Wi-Fi access point the ESP32 sets the RGB light and reports room temperature and humidity, and the lamp pulses cyan, green or white when an alert, a WhatsApp message or a reset arrives. The hub binds 127.0.0.1 and pairing uses an 8-digit code; usage comes from the Codex CLI app-server and an opt-in Claude Code status line. Laptop features target Linux with GNOME; notifications come from the freedesktop Notify call.
